Existing sustainability challenges require supply chains to extract less resources and to dispose less waste by operating more as a loop and less as a chain.

To achieve this, amongst other things, companies need to:

• Reduce their use of resources
• Extend the life of their assets
• Remanufacture product and assets
• Recycle waste

This can be achieved using a multiplicity of levers where Purchasing, and Procurement professionals have significant contribution to make. This can include rethinking the needs for what we buy; integrating take back options in contract clauses and securing new capabilities needed to repair, remanufacture, or recycle assets and products.

During this webinar we will help everyone understand what the circular economy is and how we can contribute to implementing it.

The webinar will include a presentation by Patrick Carminati from Lexmark, who will share with us his passion and how he implemented a remanufacturing approach for laser cartridges. This will highlight how by combining a total cost analysis with a solid change management approach significant progress can be achieved.
