Who should attend

This seminar has been designed for buyers with extensive hands-on experience in purchasing. It is particularly adapted for experienced purchasing professionals seeking for a short and intense training to consolidate several years of “on the job” learning and to acquire the latest “best practices” in purchasing.

Objectives and outcome of the programme

To provide experienced buyers the required methodology and “best practices” to improve their efficiency by better structuring and formalising their current work.
At the end of the programme participants will be better armed to structure the implementation of “best practices” and to improve their impact to the business.
Some of the “best practices” covered in details are:

  - Total Cost of Ownership and Risk Management
 - Supplier cost breakdown analysis
 - Value management: Functional definition of requirements, value analysis and design to cost
 - Market trends analysis and purchasing strategy definition
 - Sourcing new suppliers process
 - Contract deployment, supplier monitoring and management

Participants will also discuss their role in New Product/Service Development and how they can improve their level of participation and impact in these projects.
