The content is built on the "EIPM/EFQM Framework for Managing External resources" (ISBN 90-5236-610-1) and the EFQM "Process Survey Tool for Purchasing Process Management" (ISBN 90-5236-595-4). The assessment process also makes reference to the Best Known Processes and Practices, as collected, developed or made available by the EIPM, the EFQM and their associated companies, or gathered from public information.
