  Words from the inside

With a new year ahead of us, it is always important to take a few minutes to look back on the past year’s results.

2003 has been a very declining market for Purchasing & Supply Chain Education (an average of minus 20% to 30%). Despite of that, the EIPM has succeeded in increasing its revenue by 10%. This positive result is due to the EIPM strategies on innovation and differentiation. These two elements can be perceived mainly in the increasing development of the EIPM distance learning education, and in its ability to address and create training programs in six different languages worldwide.

This success explains why in 2003, Aptar Group, Bayer, EADS, SNECMA and UNIQ decided to start a training relationship with the EIPM and to join the EIPM's wide-ranging international clientele.

This trend accelerates beginning 2004, as the EIPM signs its contract with DuPont in the U.S. to train about 1,300 purchasing professionals (around 400 in the U.S.) and the reminder spread all over the globe to be trained in English, German, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Chinese. This contract has been followed by Unilever worldwide and Colgate Palmolive in Europe.

More and more, the EIPM is becoming the reference for in-company programs in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management for global companies.

THE MBA for high potentialsclick here

The 2004 MBA started in January 24 with participants from Adisseo, Alfa Laval, Alstom, Avebe, CIBA Masterbatch, Holcim, Huber & Suhner,...altogether representing at least seven nationalities.

Since its origins in 1990, the part-time Executive MBA was designed to allow participants to succeed in achieving their career goals as well as developing their education. One of its special characteristics is flexibility: one-week modules every six weeks spread over 18 months, however, the program can be completed in three years. This is the reason why you can still join in the 2004 academic year until mid June.

THE 1st EIPM "EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM" for Purchasing Executivesclick here

This program is dedicated to purchasing professionals who have an executive position in purchasing & supply chain or to those who have an MBA with purchasing specialisation, including a managerial position in purchasing!

The OBJECTIVE OF THE PROGRAM is to give participants new insights on business development and purchasing, to put the accent on how to handle the future with a strong emphasis on strategies and personal development.

Executives are the ones who analyse environment, set up directions and create the context to make strategies happen! For that, they need new ways of thinking, analysing and acting. They need new concepts and skills to be successful. Because the new business world is different – and it needs a different know-how. Because changes are not longer linear but abrupt and radical, because the only thing we know in the business environment is uncertainty. Because the knowledge gets obsolete faster than ever!
