The European Round table 2006 for Purchasing Executives

The European Roundtable (ERT) is a three day event, 21^st to 23^rd June 2006, held in Divonne Les Bains, France. It is organised exclusively for Senior Purchasing Executives. The theme of this year’s conference is “Purchasing Contribution to Business Excellence”. Based on this theme, we would be looking on definition of purchasing excellence, and what needs to be implemented in order to make that excellence a tangible reality in the organization.

Areas we would be looking at include:
People, Partnerships and Resources, Processes, Leadership, Policy and Strategy (to achieve performance amongst all the stakeholders)

The EFQM Excellence Model adapted to purchasing is a practical tool that can be used in a number of different ways:

• As a tool for Self-Assessment
• As a way to Benchmark with other organisations
• As a guide to identify areas for Improvement
• As the basis for a common Vocabulary and a way of thinking 
• As a Structure for the organisation's management system 

Unlike other events, networking and discussion is built into this forum. Delegates will be seated on round tables and have structured discussion time as part of the agenda. Not only will you benefit from the experiences and opinions of the speakers, but you will also hear the problems and alternatives to solutions from like-minded peers. 
 

Finally it provides the opportunity to tackle and exchange major purchasing challenges, as well as benchmark with other industries in small, select environment. Articulated around plenary and parallel workshop sessions, the roundtable brings together not only top Purchasing Executives, but also international experts in the field.
